2019 Florida Division Men’s Schedule
Florida Division Schedule Notes
The division’s competitive format is comprised of two regional weekends and a championship where all teams play each other once and any additional seeding games were selected randomly with the following exception:
The Florida “A” vs. Florida “B” and the Central Florida “A” vs. Central Florida “B” games will be recorded as forfeits and count towards the standings but not played. Instead, Florida “A” vs. Central Florida “A” and Florida “B” vs. Central Florida “B” will play a second game. The first match between teams will count towards standings and the second game as an exhibition. This was agreed by both schools. Additionally, all members voted unanimously to redraw the random selection if either of these two match-ups are picked to play a third time.
While Florida Gulf Coast University has submitted a participation agreement, the team is determining if they will play as an exhibition team for the 2019-20 School Year.
As of Friday, September 13th, the University of Miami informed the office they will not be able to travel on the weekend of September 14-15th to the league tournament at Florida State University. The host school has agreed to enter an exhibition “B” squad in order to keep the schedule intact.
Please note: As of Thursday, October 24th, Florida State University has agreed to enter a “B” Squad into the championship to replace Florida Gulf Coast University who is not able to participate. The Florida State “B” Squad will play all games but will not advance higher than their opponent and therefore will play in game 1, game 5 and the 7th Place game regardless of the outcome of each of the previous matches. Florida Gulf Coast will not face any penalty as the office was aware of their potential inability to compete the championship weekend.
