2018 Florida Division Men’s Schedule
Florida Division Schedule Notes
As of Wednesday, August 22nd, the championship game times at Pompanos Aquatics Center (hosted by Florida Atlantic University) are tentative until confirmed.
All teams will participate in two regional weekends where the standings will determine the seeding for the division championship. All teams will play every opponent once with one additional game drawn at random (with the only exception being that a school entering two squads will only play each other once).
Additionally, FAU is considering entering a “B” Squad and will be making during the week of August 27th. At the current time the team is leaning towards entering only one squad which is what the current schedule reflects. However, if they decide to enter a second team, we will adjust the schedule to accommodate their request as it was originally included on their participation agreement. This would mean every team would play every opponent once during the regular season with a nine-team championship.

Due to the cancellation of the second regular season weekend, the championship seeds are based exclusively on the opening weekend. The University of Florida “A” claims the No. 1 seed due to goal differential versus the only common opponent with the University of Central Florida “A” – Florida State University. Florida “A” defeated FSU 21-6 for a +15 goal differential, compared to UCF “A” which defeated FSU 11-8 for a +3; The No. 5-7 seeds are determined by goal differential and head-to-head results. Since Florida State defeated the University of South Florida by an 18-13 score and holds a goal differential advantage versus the University of Florida “B” comparing common opponents (UCF “A’ 11, FSU 8; University of Miami 13, FSU 12 = -4; UCF “A” 16, Florida “B” 6; Miami 14, Florida “B” 5 = -19), Florida State claims the No. 5 seed. The No. 6 seed is determined by comparing South Florida and Florida “B” against their only common opponent – the University of Central Florida “B”. As South Florida won 15-4 compared to Florida “B” which won 13-9 versus UCF “B”, South Florida takes the No. 6 seed.
