2019 Mid-Atlantic Division Men’s Schedule
Mid-Atlantic Division Schedule Notes
The Mid-Atlantic is divided into two divisions based on ability. Teams play eight regular season games which determines their seed at their respected division championship. The “A” Division teams have voted that only one of their matches against the team they play twice will count towards regular season standings. The game that does not count is denoted as “exhibition” in the schedule.
The Winner of the Mid-Atlantic “B” Division will have the right to decide if they will also compete in the Mid-Atlantic “A” Division Championship as the 8th Seed. This can only occur during the seasons when there is not a conflict between the dates of the two division championships.
As of Wednesday, August 28th, the schedule is considered tentative until hosts confirm dates and times. Additionally, Bloomsburg University will host the weekend of September 28-29 to provide the “B” Division with a second location but will participate as an exhibition team.
Please Note: As of Friday, October 11th, the Mid-Atlantic “A” and “B” Division Championship Schedules have been revised. West Chester University is not able to host the original date so Saint Joseph’s University will be hosting the “B” Division Championship instead. Hours have been adjusted to fit pool availability. Game order may be revised once seeding is determined as several teams will be commuting to the championship. Penn State University has confirmed their hours for the “A” Division Championship. Penn State “A” vs. Penn State “B” has agreed to play the first game of the day in order to allow teams to travel up Saturday morning and save on travel costs.
Please Note: The Mid-Atlantic Division “B” Championship slated to be hosted by Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pa., on Saturday-Sunday, October 19-20, is postponed. Due to institutional policy, Saint Joseph’s required additional insurance to host the event on campus. The league was unable to cover the cost of the additional insurance, but will work with the Saint Joseph administration regarding additional tournament opportunities in the future. In the interim, Saint Joseph’s will still be able to host single matches in future seasons. The league has discussed hosting the 2019 “B” Championship with original host, West Chester University. The WCU leadership is inquiring about the possibility of hosting the “B” Championship on Saturday-Sunday, November 2-3. Additional information will be posted on the league website when details are confirmed.
