2018 Rocky Mountain Division Men’s Schedule

Rocky Mountain Division Schedule Notes

As of Wednesday, October 10th, the league office was notified that Utah State University will not be allowed to travel to Colorado Mesa the weekend of October 12-14th. As this is due to a school policy, the USU team is currently not being charged with committing a no-contest and games will be recorded as forfeits (unless otherwise determined by the division). Colorado Mesa University is also currently on Fall Break and teams, as well as spectators, should be aware the facility’s exterior doors will not be unlocked on Saturday and Sunday morning until 7:15AM. At the end of the evening, the exterior doors will auto-lock at 8:45PM. CMU will have their building manager remain until at least 9:30PM to allow for extra time to get the final games concluded and teams out of the locker rooms. In order to keep games on time, we will incorporate the following rules that were also used last season during the regular season:

1xFull Timeout per half (DOES NOT CARRY OVER)
1x30 Sec Timeout per game
Quarter Breaks and Halftime will be Two Minutes
Overtime Will be Sudden Victory

If needed, quarter time will be adjusted to six minutes only if the game schedule begins falling behind. Teams should utilize the warmup space prior to their games and be ready to start.

On the weekend of September 15-16, Wyoming is forfeiting their games on Saturday due to schedule issues but will be participating with a full roster the remainder of the weekend as well as the season. Colorado State University “B” will play in their place on Saturday in exhibition games and both Colorado “A” and Denver will receive the forfeit wins over Wyoming.

2018 Rocky Mtn Men Standings

wdt_ID Final Standing Regular Season Standing Team Win Loss Points Win (Final Standings) Loss (Final Standings)

University of Colorado “A” claims the No. 3 seed due to a 5-0 Forfeit win versus University of Colorado “B”; Colorado State University claims the No. 5 seed over the University of Utah “B” due to goal differential in games against higher seeded common opponents (Colorado School of Mines and Colorado “B”).  As Utah “B” lost by forfeit to Utah “A” per league rule, the results against that opponent are removed leaving Utah “B” with a -7 differential (15-9 L vs. Colorado School of Mines, 9-8 L vs. Colorado “B”) compared to Colorado State’s +1 (14-9 L vs. Colorado School of Mines, 10-4 W vs. Colorado “B”); Univeristy of Denver claims the No. 7 seed due to an 11-5 win over Northern Arizona University; University of New Mexico claims the No. 9 seed per league policy as the University of Wyoming forfeited to both Colorado “A” and the University of Denver.  Tiebreakers are not necessary when one team has forfeited games outside of a league mandated 5-0 loss in a game pitting an institution’s “A” and “B” teams.
