2022 Texas Division Men’s Schedule
Texas Division Schedule Notes
NOTE: As of September 17, it is not known if the University of Houston can host. The tournament at Houston will be played if the team can host. Otherwise, seeding will be based on the Texas A&M University and Texas Tech University tournaments.
NOTE: Due to the University of Houston not confirming if they can host a a 20-game crossover weekend in Houston, Texas, and Rice informing the league office that the Owls’ are incapable of hosting the 17-game Texas Division Championship on Saturday-Sunday, October 22-23, in Houston, Texas, as of September 28, the Texas Division does not have a path to the 2022 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship set for Friday-Sunday, November 11-13, at a site in the Northwest Division.
Rice informed the league office of the potential to host a division championship tournament on November 12-13 – the same weekend as the Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship. If another pool does not become available in the division on an earlier weekend, the Texas bid to the National Collegiate Club Championship will be canceled and the division championship will occur on November 12-13 at Rice.
NOTE: Rice University informed the league office on September 29 of the institution’s ability to host the Texas Division Championship on Saturday-Sunday, October 29-30. All games prior to the First Place game will use six-minute quarters with sudden death overtime and one timeout per team/per half. The First Place game will use seven-minute quarters and regulation rules (overtime, timeouts, etc.). Bracket C plays round robin to determine Eighth-to-11th Place. The Loser of Game 2 and the Loser of Game 3 along with third place in Bracket A play for Fifth-to-Seventh Place.

Texas A&M “A” (18-2 W vs. Texas State University, 22-8 W vs. University of Houston, 11-8 W vs. Louisiana State University, 15-3 W vs. Rice University) averaged a differential of 11.25 in its four games. Texas “A” – which claimed a 5-0 forfeit win versus Texas Tech University – has a +17.667 differential with three victories over Baylor University (23-6 W), University of North Texas (18-1 W) and Texas Tech (20-1 W); ^The tie for 4-6 is decided based upon goal differential in all games as the teams did not play a common opponent. Rice University (11-9 W vs. University of Houston, 10-4 W vs. Texas A&M University “B”, 9-8 L vs. Baylor University and 15-3 L vs. Texas A&M University “B”) has a -5 differential, while Louisiana State University (14-7 W vs. Texas A&M University “B”, 16-6 W vs. Texas State University, 11-8 L vs. Texas A&M University “A”, 9-7 L vs. University of Houston) has a +12 and the University of North Texas (11-6 W vs. University of Texas “B”, 12-8 W vs. Texas Tech University, 18-1 L vs. University of Texas “A”, 13-6 L vs. Baylor University) has a -15; $Due to Texas Tech University forfeiting to the University of Texas “A”, the team by league rule claims the lowest seed in a tiebreaker scenario.
