2022 Women’s Division III Schedule
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the league’s 2022 Women’s Division III Varsity schedule.
The 10 CWPA Division III institutions (Augustana College, Austin College, Carthage College, Connecticut College, Grove City College, Macalester College, Penn State Behrend, Utica College, Washington & Jefferson College, Wittenberg University) will compete during the regular season in two regions – West (Augustana, Austin, Carthage, Macalester, Wittenberg) and East (Connecticut, Grove City, Penn State Behrend, Utica, Washington & Jefferson). The order of finish in the regions will determine the seeding for the CWPA Division III Championship at Grove City in Grove City, Pa., on Thursday-Saturday, April 21-23, with the victor of the West Region earning the No. 1 seed due to Austin claiming the league title in 2021.
The victor and runner-up from the CWPA Division III Championship earn spots in the inaugural/2022 USA Water Polo Division III Women’s Collegiate Championship against the top two teams from the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championship. A site for the championship – set for Saturday-Sunday, May 7-8 – is undetermined at this time and is dependent upon the victor of the SCIAC Championship.
