2024 Men’s Collegiate Club Atlantic Division Schedule

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2024 Men’s Collegiate Club Atlantic Division schedule.

Comprised of Georgetown University, James Madison University, North Carolina State University, the United States Naval Academy, the University of Maryland, the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, the University of Virginia and Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University (Virginia Tech), the Atlantic Division will contest its 24th season of competition with the University of Richmond (2000), Georgetown (2001, 2002, 2005), Virginia (2003, 2021, 2022, 2023), North Carolina-Chapel Hill (2004, 2010, 2011, 2012), Virginia Tech (2006, 2007, 2009, 2017), Duke University (2008, 2014, 2016), Maryland (2013, 2015) and Navy (2018, 2019) previously claiming titles. The 2020 season was not contested due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Competition begins on Saturday-Sunday, September 14-15, at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va., with 16 games.  The regular season concludes on Saturday-Sunday, October 5-6 as North Carolina State hosts another 16 game event in Raleigh, N.C.

Fans should be aware that the format for both regular season weekends feature games with six-minute quarters, no overtime and teams limited to one timeout per half due to pool time constraints.

The Atlantic Division Champion will be crowned following the 12-game championship tournament on Saturday-Sunday, October 19-20, at Virginia Tech.  The victor of the division earns the group’s berth to the 2024 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship on Friday-Sunday, November 8-10, at a site to be determined.
