2024 Men’s Collegiate Club Great Lakes Division Schedule

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2024 Men’s Collegiate Club Great Lakes Division schedule.

Comprised of Grand Valley State University, Loyola University Chicago, the University of Notre Dame, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Miami University (Ohio) and Washington University in St. Louis, the Great Lakes Division will contest its 24th season as part of the Collegiate Water Polo Association.  In the history of the division, Iowa State University (1997), Western Illinois University (1998), Grand Valley State (2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2016), the University of Illinois-Chicago (2009, 2011, 2012, 2015), The Ohio State University (2013, 2014, 2017, 2018), Notre Dame (2019) and Washington (Mo.) (2021, 2022, 2023) have all claimed at least one championship. The 2020 season was not contested due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Competition begins on the weekend of Saturday-Sunday, September 28-29, with 12 games at possibly Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Mich. As of Monday, September 3, GVSU is tentatively slated to host the weekend dependent upon the institution submitting the necessary paperwork to the league office.

Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Ind., is penciled in to host the final regular season tournament on Saturday-Sunday, October 5-6, prior to Washington tentatively serving as the site of the nine-game Great Lakes Division championship tournament on Saturday-Sunday, October 26-27.

The victor of the championship claims the group’s automatic berth to the 2024 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship on Friday-Sunday, November 8-10, at a site to be determined.
