BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2024 Week 13/April 17 Women’s Varsity National Top 25, Division III Top 10, CWPA Top Five and CWPA Division III Top Five Polls.
The University of California-Los Angeles and Pomona-Pitzer Colleges continue at No. 1 in the National Top 25 and Division III Top 10 polls, respectively, while Augustana College and Princeton University retain top billing in the CWPA Division III and Division I Top Five voting.
Voted on by a panel of coaches from the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA), the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF), the Golden Coast Conference, the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the Big West Conference, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and the CWPA based on the cumulative results of the season, the polls are compiled and released on Wednesdays during the season.
2024 Women’s Varsity National Top 25 (Week 13/April 17)
The University of California-Los Angeles retains its prior status as a unanimous No. 1 selection in the 2024 Week 13/April 17 Women’s Varsity National Top 25 Poll.
UCLA (100 points), the University of Hawaii (96 points), Stanford University (92 points), the University of Southern California (88 points), the University of California (84 points), Loyola Marymount University (77 points) and Long Beach State University (75 points) continue at No. 1-to-7, respectively, while with University of California-Irvine (74 points) and Fresno State University (70 points) exchange the No. 8 and 9 spots in front of No. 10 Arizona State University (63 points).
The University of California-San Diego (57 points), Princeton University (56 points) and the University of Michigan (53 points) remain at No. 11-to-13 with Indiana University (48 points), the University of California-Santa Barbara (42 points), Wagner College (36 points), the University of California-Davis (34 points), San Jose State University (31 points), California State University-Northridge (29 points) and University of the Pacific (25 points) rearranging to rate at No. 14-to-20.
Harvard University (23 points) acquires sole possession of the No. 21 position, Long Island University (20 points) and San Diego State University (13 points) inch back to No. 22 and 23, while Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (6 points) and Brown University (6 points) complete the Week 13 Top 25 by tying at No. 24.

2024 Women’s Varsity Division III Top 10 (Week 13/April 17)
Pomona-Pitzer Colleges stays at No. 1 for another week in the 2024 Week 13/April 17 Women’s Varsity Division III Top 10 Poll.
The poll remains relatively unchanged as Pomona-Pitzer (100 points), Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges (95 points), Chapman University (90 points) and the University of La Verne (81 points) remain at No. 1-to-4, respectively, with Augustana College (80 points) breaking a tie with California Lutheran University (79 points) at No. 5 last week to gain sole custody of the berth in the Week 13 balloting.
Macalester College (70 points), the University of Redlands (61 points), Austin College (60 points) and Whittier College (48 points) complete the Top 10.

Defending league champion Princeton University continues at No. 1 in the 2024 Week 13/April 17 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Top Five Poll
The 2000, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2023 league champion Tigers (100 points), who become a unanimous No. 1 pick in the Week 12 voting with 2005, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022 league champion the University of Michigan (95 points) receiving all of the No. 2 votes continue the trend in the Week 13 voting.
2022 and 2023 CWPA Championship runner-up Harvard University (90 points), Brown University (85 points) and Bucknell University (64 points) remain consistent at No. 3-to-5 to complete the Top Five.

2023 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division III Champion Augustana College remains the top-ranked program in the 2024 Week 13/April 17 CWPA Division III Top Five Poll.
2017, 2018 and 2019 CWPA Division III Champion Macalester College (94 points) stands within six points of the Vikings (100 points), while 2021 and 2022 champion Austin College (91 points) closes to within nine points.
Carthage College (67 points) and Washington & Jefferson College (65 points) account for the remainder of the Top Five heading into this weekend’s CWPA Division III Championship at Connecticut College in New London, Conn., on Friday-Sunday, April 19-21.
