BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases the 2025 Women’s Collegiate Club Top 20 Week 12/April 17 Poll.

2025 Women’s Collegiate Club Top 20 (Week 12)

2025 Women’s National Collegiate Club Champion the University of California-Santa Barbara shatters a three-way tie with San Diego State University and the University of Michigan based on the Gauchos’ National Championship to gain sole control of the top position in the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Women’s Collegiate Club Top 20 Week 12/April 17 Poll.

Typically, the poll immediately following the National Collegiate Club Championship would mark the final voting of the season.  However, due to the New York Division Championship occurring on Saturday-Sunday, April 26-27, at Columbia University, the National Top 20 poll will conclude on Thursday, May 1.

Pacific Coast Division Champion UCSB (100 points) rates as a unanimous top selection with Big Ten Champion Michigan (95 points) and Southwest Division San Diego State (90 points) mirroring their finishes at the Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship by rating at No. 2 and 3, respectively.

California Polytechnic State University (81 points) and the University of California-San Diego (81 points) are tied at No. 4 with the University of California-Davis (75 points) and the University of California-Los Angeles (73 points) moving up to No. 6 and 7.

North Atlantic Division Champion Yale University (63 points) – which garnered Fourth Place at the National Collegiate Club Championship – is the biggest mover of the week as the institution jumps from No. 20 to No. 8.

New England Division Champion Northeastern University (62 points) and Rocky Mountain Division Champion the University of Colorado (53 points) – which were tied at No. 13 last week – conclude the Top 10 at No. 9 and 10.

Midwest Division Champion Grand Valley State University (46 points) and the University of Notre Dame (46 points) begin the next 10 teams in the Top 20 as the Lakers and Irish are tied at No. 11.  Texas Division Champion Texas A&M University (41 points), Sierra Pacific Division Champion the University of California (39 points) and Mid-Atlantic Division Champion Pennsylvania State University (27 points) rate at No. 13-to-15, while the duo of the University of Wisconsin (24 points) and Michigan State University (24 points) share the No. 16 slot.

Bay Area Division Champion the University of California-Santa Cruz (9 points), Southeast Division Champion Florida State University (8 points) and Northwest Division Champion the University of Washington (7 points) conclude the Week 12/April 17 Top 20.

Collegiate Water Polo Association
