2024 Men’s Collegiate Club Florida Division Schedule
BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) releases changes to the 2024 Men’s Collegiate Club Florida Division schedule.
In light of the University of Miami being unable to compete in 2024 due to administrative policy at the institution, the Florida Division is revised to the quintet of Florida International University, Florida State University, the University of Central Florida, the University of Florida “A” and the University of Florida “B”.
The Florida Division will contest its 19th season as part of the CWPA in 2024 with Florida (2002, 2003, 2008, 2011, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023), Florida International (2007, 2009), Miami (2010, 2012, 2013) and Florida State (2014, 2015, 2016, 2021) combining to claim the previous 18 crowns. The 2020 season was not contested due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The University of South Florida replaces Miami in the schedule for the weekend at Florida in Gainesville, Fla., of Saturday-Sunday, September 28-29, as USF will contest four exhibition games against Central Florida, Florida “A”, Florida “B” and Florida State.
The slate for the final regular season weekend of Saturday-Sunday, October 12-13, at Florida State in Tallahassee, Fla., is revised to 10-games.
Due to the teams competing in an uneven number of games during the regular season, winning percentage will be utilized to seed the programs for the now eight-game Florida Division Championship on Saturday-Sunday, October 26-27, at Florida.
The victor of the division championship advances to the 2024 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship on Friday-Sunday, November 8-10, at a site to be determined.
