BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The schedule of sites for the next 10 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Women’s Division I and Division III league championships is now available.

Division I:

The CWPA Division I Championship will follow a pattern for the next 10 years as Bucknell University (Lewisburg, Pa.), Saint Francis University (Loretto, Pa.), Princeton University (Princeton, N.J.), Harvard University (Cambridge, Mass.), Brown University (Providence, R.I.) and the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, Mich.) will serve as the host facilities for the 2022-to-2031 events.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic pushing the championship rotation back a year – with no championship competition occurring in 2020 – causing Michigan to host in 2021, the slate of sites adjusts accordingly.

The CWPA Division I Championship will return to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for back-to-back years as Bucknell and Saint Francis will host the 2022 and 2023 events.  The 2023 event will mark the first-time the Red Flash will host a league championship event in the sport of water polo.

Ivy League institutions Princeton (2024), Harvard (2025) and Brown (2026) take on hosting duties over the next three years prior to Michigan (2027) again hosting the championship to complete the cycle.

Bucknell (2028), Saint Francis (2029), Princeton (2030) and Harvard (2031) complete the 10-year docket.

Division III:

Unlike their Division I sister institutions, the Division III programs will have several planned new host sites during the span of 2022-to-2031.

Following Carthage College (Kenosha, Wis.) performing hosting duties in 2021 for the first time, Grove City College (Grove City, Pa.) will serve as site for the 2022 championship after previously serving as site for the 2012 and 2015 events. 2011, 2014, 2017 site Macalester College (St, Paul, Minn.) and 2010 host Utica College (Utica, N.Y.) will once again host in 2023 and 2024 prior to first-time site Wittenberg University (Springfield, Ohio) taking on duties as for the league championship in 2025.

2018 host Penn State Behrend (Erie, Pa.) handles the 2026 championship prior to the CWPA Division III Championship heading south of the Mason-Dixon Line for the first time when Austin College (Sherman, Texas) handles hosting responsibilities in 2027.

First-time host Washington & Jefferson College (Washington, Pa.), Carthage and 2013, 2016, 2019 site Connecticut College (New London, Conn.) conclude the decade in 2028, 2029 and 2030, leading up to the 2031 event coming to the Prairie State when Augustana College (Rock Island, Ill.) hosts the program’s inaugural varsity league championship tournament.
