BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The road to the 2018 Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship comes to an end this weekend at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, as the Wildcats will host the championship tournament at Arizona Recreation Center on Friday-Sunday, November 9-11.
Comprised of the champions from the Southwest (University of California-San Diego), Texas (University of Texas), Pacific Coast (California Polytechnic State University), Sierra Pacific (University of California), Great Lakes (The Ohio State University), Big Ten (University of Michigan), Missouri Valley (Lindenwood University), Mid-Atlantic (Villanova University), Rocky Mountain (University of Utah), Florida (University of Florida), New England (Boston College), Southeast (University of Alabama) and Northwest (Oregon State University) Divisions along with the runner-up from the Atlantic Division (Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University) and the host Widcats of Arizona, the three-day event caps off the men’s collegiate club season.
The championship, which is not seeded based on ability as there is no equitable means to judge the teams based on performance, has a slight change this year as Atlantic Champion the United States Naval Academy elected not to attend the tournament.
