CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Division III No. 5-ranked the Massachusetts Institute of Technology was unable to devise a path past No. 19 Harvard University as the Engineers took a 20-4 setback at home in the Zesiger Center Pool against the Crimson.

Harvard scored the first four goals of the match before sophomore Adam Ivatorov (Rockaway, N.Y.) found the back of the net with seven seconds remaining in the first quarter.

The Crimson scored the next three goals before graduate student Bo Tignol (Antwerp, Belgium) scored at the 7:05 mark of the second quarter to make it a 6-2 match.

Harvard went on a 5-0 run to take an 11-2 lead before Tignol stopped the spurt with five seconds left in the quarter by burying a scoring chance.

Another 5-0 run put Harvard up 16-3 before a goal from senior Alex Freedline (Miami, Fla.) made it a 16-4 contest for the Engineers.

Harvard scored the final four goals to take the win, 20-4.

Tignol finished with two goals to increase his season total to 23. Ivatorov now has 36 goals this season.

Senior Colin Weaver (Huntington Beach, Calif.) made eight saves and net and had three steals.
