BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) announces the dates for the Fall 2021 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC), Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) and Collegiate Club Championships.
- Varsity/Saturday, October 23 – Men’s Division II Eastern Varsity Championship (Gannon University, McKendree University, Mercyhurst University, Salem University) – Hosted by Mercyhurst at David M. Hallman III Aquatics Center, Erie, Pa.
- Varsity/Saturday-Sunday, October 23-24 – Men’s Division III Eastern Varsity Championship (Austin College, Connecticut College, Johns Hopkins University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Penn State Behrend, Washington & Jefferson College) – Hosted by Connecticut College, New London, Conn. (Champion & runner-up advance to USA Water Polo Division III Championship)
- Club/Saturday-Sunday, October 30-31 – Men’s Division III Collegiate Club Championship (top qualifying Division III collegiate club institution teams – Site to be determined)
- Varsity/Saturday-Sunday, November 6-7 – Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference-West Region Championship (Gannon University, McKendree University, Mercyhurst University, Salem University, Washington & Jefferson College) – Hosted by Salem at Mylan Park Aquatic Center, Morgantown, W.Va.
- Club/Friday-Sunday, November 12-14 – Men’s National Collegiate Club Championship (16 division championship teams, at-large teams if necessary and host the University of Alabama) – Hosted by Alabama at the Huntsville Aquatic Center, Huntsville, Ala.
- Varsity/Friday-Sunday, November 19-21 – Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Championship (Bucknell University, Fordham University, George Washington University, Johns Hopkins University, Mount St. Mary’s University, United States Naval Academy, Wagner College, MAWPC-West Champion) – Hosted by Navy in Annapolis, Md. (NCAA Championship qualifier)
- Varsity/Friday-Sunday, November 19-21 – Northeast Water Polo Conference Championship (Brown University, Connecticut College, Harvard University, Iona College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Princeton University, St. Francis College Brooklyn) – Hosted by Princeton in Princeton, N.J. (NCAA Championship qualifier)
- Club/Friday-Sunday, December 3-5 – National Invitational (16 teams that finished in the bottom half of their respective divisions) – Site to be determined
The 2021 season will mark the inaugural event for the National Invitational which was created by the league to provide an opportunity for teams that fall outside of the upper half of their divisions to have a postseason opportunity.
