BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) turns back time to the Fall of 2014 when the Johns Hopkins University Blue Jays turned back the Harvard University Crimson, 10-5, during the 2014 CWPA Championship at the United States Naval Academy’s Lejeune Hall.
In the game which permitted Hopkins to advance to the tournament’s Fifth Place contest, senior Wes Hopkins scored three times to claim Player of the Game honors.
Giovanni Cragnotti scored twice, while Jono Gillette, Langdon Froomer and Garrett Davidson all added solo markers. Johnny Beal (one goal, two assists) and Kevin Yee (one goal, one assist) rounded out the Blue Jays’ scorers.
Harvard was led by Dan Stevens and Blake Lee as the duo both tallied two goals. Colin Chiapello tacked on a goal, while Joey Colton and Ben Zepfel both contributed assists.
