BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Gannon University men’s water polo head coach Shane Unger appointed current women’s athlete Campbell Ruh as a student-assistant coach for the Golden Knights’ men’s program during the 2020 season.
Currently a member of the Gannon women’s team, Ruh will pursue her extra year of eligibility in 2021 after a shortened senior season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, she competed in 11 games for Gannon finishing the year with 25 goals, 10 assists, 19 drawn exclusions, three steals, and two field blocks. Ruh tallied a career-best five goals on two occasions in 2020.
During her four-year career with the Golden Knights, Ruh has played in 77 games and tallied 154 goals and 83 assists for 237 points with 93 steals and 102 drawn exclusions.
A three-time Western Water Polo Association (WWPA) All-Conference Honorable Mention selection and 2019 WWPA All-Tournament Second Team honoree, she stands as a three-time Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) with a pair of Honorable Mention nods (2018, 2020) and a Second Team notice (2019).
A Walnut, California native and graduate of Lutheran High School of Orange County, Ruh is pursuing her degree in communication arts.
