BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Freshman Tori Wilson (Kitchener, Ontario/Grand River Collegiate Institute) of No. 17-ranked Hartwick College put up 17 goals during a 6-1 week for the Hawks to earn notice as the April 3 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Rookie of the Week. She added a team-best 10 exclusions drawn, seven steals, an assist, a five-meter exclusion drawn and a field block.
Wilson began the week with a game-high six goals in a 12-8 victory over Azusa Pacific and a pair of tallies in a 17-11 win over Division III No. 7 University of Redlands on Wednesday, March 29. She added a goal in a 12-4 victory over Concordia University and another two scores in a narrow 9-8 loss to No. 12 Long Beach State University on Thursday, March 30. She then netted three in a 13-10 win over No. 19 University of California-San Diego on Friday, March 31, prior to closing out her week with three goals in an 11-8 win over Division III No. 6 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges and an assist in an 11-3 victory against Division III No. 2 Pomona-Pitzer Colleges on Saturday, April 1.
Wilson ranks third on the Hartwick roster in goals (36) and points (46). She has accumulated 10 assists, 21 steals and 25 exclusions drawn to date.
