BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Alexis Kieckhafer (Sr., Coto De Caza, Calif./Santa Margarita) of No. 19-ranked Harvard University stopped 33 shots during a 3-2 weekend for the Crimson at home in Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) and invitational competition to earn status as the February 26 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Defensive Player of the Week.
A two-time weekly honor recipient from the league office after previously garnering the February 5 honor earlier in the year, Kieckhafer posted made 10 saves and dished out an assist on Friday, February 23, at home in league competition versus No. 19 Brown University.
On Saturday, February 24, she notched five saves in a 10-9 defeat by No. 16 the University of California-Davis to commence the Crimson’s weekend as part of the 2024 Harvard Invitational. Later in the day, Kieckhafer did not appear in Harvard’s 22-5 victory over Mercyhurst University.
She capped off the weekend on Sunday, February 25, by stopping 12 shots in a 12-4 management of Santa Clara University prior to tacking on six stops in a 10-6 setback against No. 18 Wagner College.
