PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Host/No. 17-ranked Brown University opened the 2025 season with a pair of victories as the Bears managed Gannon University, 20-10, and Wagner College, 19-9, during the inaugural day of the 2025 Bruno Classic at home in the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center. 

Facing Gannon, Ramzi Megalli scored Brown’s first goal of the season just 55 seconds into the game and the Bears kept the lead throughout the remainder of the contest.

Ilias Stothart led the Bears in goals with seven goals in total, with Jaxson Tierney (four) and Megalli (three) also posting hat-tricks. 

Goalkeeper Ryan Miele stopped six saves in cage to earn the win. 

The Bears tacked on another victory in the late game as Brown turned back Wagner, 19-9. 

Similar to game one, Brown built an early lead and never looked back in rolling to a 10-score win.

Stothart led the Bears with nine goals and Dominik Balla chipped in four.
