BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — The Athletics Department at Marist College invites applications for a part-time, 12-month position as Assistant Coach, Water Polo. This position will report to the Head Coach, Water Polo. The assistant coach position will participate in the preparation, coordination, practice, and game day logistics during the academic year. The position is responsible for the identification, research of, and communication with prospective student-athletes during the calendar year. The assistant coach will also assist with mentoring the student-athletes with academic, personal, mental, and physical health, and career planning.

Essential Functions:
Provide mentoring to student-athletes inside and outside of practice on their academic, personal, civic, and career aspirations for the future; Assist the head coach in developing a healthy lifestyle plan for student-athletes: nutrition, mobility training, mental toughness training, and assist in strength training; Day-to-day team logistics: Travel, meals, hotels, driving vans and other trip-planning tasks; Liaison to recruits: prepare virtual and in-person recruiting calls for head coach; Assist in other tasks as assigned by Head Coach and Athletic Director.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
