LEBANON, Ill. — McKendree University is seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual to serve as a graduate assistant for the school’s water polo programs. 

Men and women’s water polo began its inaugural season in the Fall of 2017-18.  McKendree currently competes at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II level and offers an additional men’s club program.  The successful candidate will serve as the head coach for the men’s club program and assist with both NCAA programs.  Duties will include but are not limited to planning practice, recruiting, scheduling competitions, travel, monitoring academics, fundraising, and general operations of an athletic program.  The individual will assist in a support role with the NCAA programs with duties as assigned by the head coaches

Water polo practices and competes at the McKendree Metro Rec Plex a newly constructed facility that houses an aquatics center for swimming, diving and water polo, and two sheets of ice for hockey. The main pool is set up for water polo with a 25-meter course and floating goals. 

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and acceptance into a Master’s program at McKendree University is required. Candidate should have prior water polo coaching experience.
