BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Goalkeeper Ellie Crossley (Fr,, Grand Rapids, Mich./East Grand Rapids) notched 46 saves during a 4-0 weekend for No. 15-ranked Michigan State University during the opening weekend of Big Ten Division competition at The Ohio State University to claim the January 27 Women’s Collegiate Club Big Ten Division Player of the Week award.
Competing in her inaugural intercollegiate women’s club competition in the Big Ten Division, she helped the Spartans defeat Purdue University (15-2 W), the University of Iowa (11-5 W), the University of Wisconsin (11-5 W) and the University of Michigan “B” (11-1 W) to rate in a tie with two-time defending National Champion the University of Michigan “A” for the top spot in the division standings with 4-0 records.
