CLAREMONT, Calif. — The Mount St. Mary’s University men’s water polo team faced defeat as the Mountaineers dropped games to No. 19-ranked California Baptist University, 15-10, and No. 16 Loyola Marymount University, 18-6, on the campus of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges at the 2024 Gary Troyer Memorial Tournament.

An Aaron Tarr hat trick outlined the Mount’s first game against CBU as Nicholas Wallace-Whitfield, Michael Lemishko, Zach Fischer, Alexandros Bellesis, Nate Valentine, Jack Fox and Bryce Broadway contributed one goal apiece. Sherif Hosni made 13 saves against the Lancers.

In the second contest versus Loyola Marymount, Lemishko led the way with two goals followed by Fischer, Bellesis, Fox and Nate Hopkins with a goal apiece. Tarr contributed two assists in the effort, while Vasilije Marinkovic made 12 saves in the game.
