EMMITSBURG, Md. — Mount St. Mary’s University, located in Emmitsburg, Md., seeks a men’s and women’s water polo assistant coach.

The assistant coach is responsible for assisting the Head Men and Women’s Water Polo Coach in all aspects of the water polo program, including recruitment of qualified student-athletes, practice and game preparation, budget management, fundraising and assisting with the overall administration of a Division I water polo program in accordance with institutional, National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC), Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and Northeast Conference (NEC) rules and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for assisting in all facets of the men’s & women’s D1 varsity programs. Assist in evaluation & recruitment of potential student athletes Organizing and planning of practices, games, and travel weekends Ability to demonstrate exemplary interpersonal communication and organizational skills Monitoring academic progress of both programs Assist in video analytics & scouting opponents Planning of team travel Organizing Fundraisers Growing the team’s social media presence through original content creation and strategic planning Other various duties assigned by athletic department and coaching staff
