PRINCETON, N.J. — Behind seven combined goals from Jordan Colina and Michael Swart, the No. 14-ranked Princeton University Tigers took down the Iona College Gaels, 17-9, at DeNunzio Pool in Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) play.

With the win, head coach Luis Nicolao reached the 400-victory milestone for the men’s water polo program. He is 400-162 (.712) with the men’s team and 442-149 (.748) with the women’s squad. In his time at Princeton, Nicolao has made the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Tournament a combined seven times.
 
In front, 4-2, after the first eight minutes, the Tigers rolled out six tallies in the second frame to take a 10-4 advantage into the intermission. The offense didn’t slow down despite the stoppage as it again ran out with six more goals while holding Iona to one in third quarter. Princeton led 15-5 after 24 minutes and cruised to its 20th victory of the season.
 
The Tigers, at 7-2 in the Northeast Water Polo Conference, remain one game back of the No. 15 St. Francis College Brooklyn Terriers (8-1). The Terriers will come to Princeton on Saturday, November 4, at 6:00 p.m.
