BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Nine athletes make the 2019 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC)-West Region Preseason “Players to Watch List” based on their prior achievements in the league.
Previous All-Conference selections from the past two seasons (2017, 2018), the ennead spans six programs as McKendree University leads the way with nods to Ori Scanlon (2018 Second Team), Matthew Haygood (2018 Second Team) and Joseph Mahan (2018 Second Team). Milos Popovic (2017 First Team, 2018 First Team) and Michael Rojas (2018 Second Team) of Salem University, Arturo Freitas (2018 Second Team) of Connecticut College, Tom Squeglia (2018 First Team) of Gannon University, Daniel Alvarez (2017 Second Team, 2018 First Team) of Mercyhurst University and Will Kitsch (2018 First Team) of Washington & Jefferson College complete the honored athletes.
Selections are based on anticipated competition by the athletes during the 2019 season and in accordance with their previous class year. Complete and confirmed rosters of all teams are not available at this time.
