CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The No. 13-ranked Harvard University men’s water polo team defeated Long Island University, 23-7, and Iona University, 19-10, to continue a 14-game win streak and sweep a Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) doubleheader at home in Blodgett Pool.
Facing LIU in the early game, Harvard had 13 different athletes score versus the Sharks.
Colin Le, Vilas Sogaard-Srikrishnan and James Rozolis-Hill had hat tricks on the day, while the Crimson defense locked down LIU all game, holding it to zero goals in the final quarter.
Against Iona, Sogaard-Srikrishnan netted a hat-trick and two assists to go along with four goals from Kaleb Archer.
Jack Burghardt, Alex James and Owen Hale also found the back of the net. Tyler Zarcu was all over the scoresheet after scoring one goal and adding four assists.
Rozolis-Hill and Mot Stothart both netted pairs of goals to support a 15 save, two assist performance by goalkeeper Tanner Furtak.
