CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — No. 15-ranked Harvard University defeated hoste/Division III No. 5 the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), 21-11, in a crosstown Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) showdown.

James Rozolis-Hill scored 13 goals in three games over the weekend, while Owen Hale posted eight. Cam Dougherty recorded his first hat trick of the season on his way to a six-goal weekend. First-year Tanner Furtak won two of the three games. 

Rozolis-Hill tallied another six-goal game against MIT as his performance marks the third time this season the first-year has scored six goals in a game. 

Tyler Zarcu, Dougherty, Alex James and Kaleb Archer all scored a goal, while Hale netted his second hat trick of the weekend in the victory. 

Michael Sonsini finished the game with two goals and two assists.  Mot Stothart and Andrej Basica both had a pair of goals in support of a six-save effort from Furtak.

Harvard led 4-3 after the first quarter after scoring two quick goals to end the opening frame. 

The Crimson opened the second quarter by scoring five goals in a row on the way to stretching the lead to 10-6 entering the half.

Harvard outscored MIT 6-5 in the third quarter and coasted to victory.

It marks the second time this weekend that the Crimson scored 20 or more goals and the third time this season as Harvard picked up a 20-6 victory at Connecticut College on October 8 after taking a 21-4 win against Austin College at home in Blodgett Pool on September 4, during the Brown University Bruno Classic.
