CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The No. 14-ranked Harvard University men’s water polo team defeated Long Island University, 19-2, at Blodgett Pool. It was a total team effort as eight Crimson athlete found the back of the net in the victory.

Tyler Zarcu, Owen Hale and Rishi Mohan all netted pairs of goals, while first-year James Rozolis-Hill tallied another four-goal game.

Michael Sonsini added to his team leading assist total after tallying another two assists in the victory. 

Cam Dougherty had another solid game with two goals and an assist.

Alex James tallied his second four-goal game of the season. James also recorded three steals, while Roger Brocket scored once. 

Kaleb Archer scored twice and drew three knockouts in support of a 10-save effort by netminder Tanner Furtak.

The Crimson opened the first quarter by scoring six goals in four minutes on route to an 8-0 lead after the opening frame. 

The Crimson scored the first 12 goals of the game – including a 6-1 advantage in the second quarter. 

The Crimson continued their dominant play by tallying five goals in the third quarter as the team rolled to victory.
