CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — The No. 14-ranked Harvard University women’s water polo defeated Saint Francis University by a score of 20-3 to secure its 19th win of the season. The Crimson jumped out to an early lead and never looked back.
This was the third time this season that the Crimson has let up less than five goals in a game. It also marked the fourth time this season the Crimson has scored 20 or more goals.
Overall, 12 different Crimson scored in the victory led by Brooke Hourigan who netted a hat-trick – including two goals on the penalty shots.
Dany Zapata finished the game with a pair of goals and three assists, while rookies Ella Schneider, Ruby Hodge and Heidi Heffelfinger each added a pair of goals.
Grace Thawley and Borden Wahl also added pairs of goals, with Evan Tingler, Ella Prentice, Kaity Greenwald, Sasha Constandse, and Jaiden Miller all fing the back of the net once.
Zoe Banks made three saves in the victory.
