GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Luke Shropshire (Jr., Ellicott City, Md.) and Ryan Bannon (Gr., Broomfield, Colo.) both tallied three goals to share Player of the Game recognition as Rocky Mountain Division Champion/No. 17-ranked the University of Colorado overcame Big Ten Division Champion/No. 7 the University of Michigan, 15-6, to earn a spot in the 2024 Men’s Collegiate Club Championship Ninth Place game.
Colorado – which previously garnered Second (1997), Fifth (2016), Sixth (2023), Seventh (2001, 2014, 2021), Eighth (2010, 2023), Ninth (2015), 11th (2017) and 12th (2008) Place marks at the National Collegiate Club Championship – will return to the water at 2:15 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, November 10 against either Northwest Division Champion/No. 14 the University of Oregon or Mid-Atlantic Division Champion/No. 14 Pennsylvania State University.
Michigan – which is a three-time National Champion with titles in 1996 (vs. University of Arizona), 1998 (vs. Penn State) and 2003 (vs. California Polytechnic State University) to accompany more recent Third (2022), Fourth (2004, 2016), Fifth (2015), Seventh (2017), Eighth (2018) and Ninth (2011, 2012) place marks – will aim to top the loser of Oregon-vs.-Penn State in the 11th Place game at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 10.
