FULLERTON, Calif.   No. 18-ranked Brown University improved to 5-0 on the season as the Bears tripped up the United States Air Force Academy, 18-15, and host California State University-Fullerton, 12-8, on the first day of the 2025 Triton Invitational.  

The Bears came out strong against Air Force as Brown played to a four-all tie by the conclusion of the first quarter.  In the second quarter, Brown began to gain more momentum as the Bears went into halftime with a 9-7 lead.  

Dimitrios Kratimenos played a pivotal role with five saves, helping keep the Bears ahead in the third quarter. 

Griffin Tunney and Jaxson Tierney contributed a total of seven goals between them, while Ilias Stothart matched their total with seven goals of his own.

The game wrapped up with a rapid exchange of goals in the final minutes. However, it was Brown’s powerful finish and standout second-half performance that ultimately secured their victory. 

To kick off game two versus the host Titans, Stothart scored the opening goal with assistance from Mac Berry just 90 seconds in as the Bears acquired a 4-3 lead by the conclusion of the first quarter.  

Brown’s offensive spread saw Máté Tymcyna and Ramzi Megalli both netting two goals, with Tierney, Filip Josipovic and William Griswold also contributing to the scoreline.

Kratimenos made 14 saves in the win.
