CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — No. 19-ranked Harvard University completed a perfect weekend at home during the Harvard Invitational by defeating No. 20 George Washington University, 16-14. Another tight game for the Crimson, Harvard managed to get some separation in the second and third quarters to win the program’s eighth straight game.
Mason Hunt netted four goals including two goals late in the game, while Tanner Furtak was stellar between the pipes making nine saves in the game. Furtak biggest saves of the game came in the second quarter as he made six of his nine saves in the frame.
Lukas Peabody scored twice, while Hunt recorded five points courtesy four goals and a helper.
Vilas Sogard Srikrishanan added two goals and four assists with Dean Strauser and Jack Burghardt both contributing three goals and an assist.
