NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. — The No. 19-ranked Princeton University Tigers allowed just two goals in the second half to take down the host Iona College Gaels, 10-6, at Hynes Pool.

Princeton registered the first two goals of the contest, but Iona rallied to tie the contest at two-all after eight minutes. The Tigers started off the second quarter quickly with three consecutive tallies and eventually took a 6-3 lead into the intermission.

The Tigers continued to hold a three-goal advantage until two straight from Iona closed the gap to one at 7-6 with 4:50 to go in the frame.

The Gaels were held off the scoreboard for the final 12:50 of game action as the Tigers ripped off three during that stretch to take the contest, 10-6.

Yurian Quinones (Fr., Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif./Santa Margarita Catholic) led the way for Princeton with three goals and two assists, while Wyatt Benson (So., Huntington Beach, Calif./Mater Dei) added three strikes.  Goalie Billy Motherway (So., Santa Ana, Calif./Mater Dei) made 17 saves to earn the win.
