PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Terriers of No. 19-ranked St. Francis College Brooklyn were unable to overcome either No. 3 Stanford University or No. 5 University of the Pacific in falling by scores of 21-5 and 18-7 on the final day of the Brown University Bruno Classic at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.

Taking on Stanford, St. Francis Brooklyn never led in falling behind 1-0 and 2-1 prior to seeing the Cardinal fly out to a 7-2 margin by the conclusion of the first quarter.  Leading 11-4 by halftime, Stanford continued to widen the gap between the two teams out to 15-4 by the conclusion of the third quarter on the way toa a 16-goal margin of victory.

For St. Francis Brooklyn, Bogdan Kostic, Vukasin Petrovic and Botond Kadar each scored once in support of a two-marker output from Tucker Angelo.

The outcome of the Terriers’ clash with Pacific was similar as the Tigers jumped in front 4-1 by the close of the the first quarter and held a 10-3 halftime lead.  Leading 13-6 by the draw of the third quarter, Pacific sealed the victory by outscoring St. Francis Brooklyn 5-1 in the fourth quarter for a nine-tally victory.

Kostic led the way for the Terriers with a hat-trick with Kadar adding a pair, while William Lapkin and Zachary Hahn both notched solo strikes.
