PRINCETON, N.J. — The No. 21-ranked Princeton University women’s water polo team finished out the Princeton Invitational at 5-0 and moved to 2-0 in Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) competition by securing a 10-3 decision over the Saint Francis University Red Flash.
Princeton scored six of the first seven goals of the game and led 6-2 at halftime. The Tigers held the Red Flash off the scoreboard for the first 9:11 of the contest. Head coach Derek Ellingson‘s squad pitched a shutout in the third stanza and cruised to a 10-3 decision.
Kayla Yelensky led the way for Princeton with three goals, while Annie Robinson deposited a pair. Rachael Carver, Alana Evans, CiCi Stewart, Nicole Kresich and Kaila Carroll each found the back of the cage once in support of a seven save performance by netminder Isabel Zaller.
The Tigers are now 9-2 overall and on a seven-game winning streak.
