PRINCETON, N.J. — The George Washington University water polo team was not able to keep pace with a pair of ranked opponents at the Princeton Invitational hosted by Princeton University, falling 22-7 to No. 7-ranked University of the Pacific in the early game and 16-10 to No. 15 Harvard University in the evening contest.

The Revolutionaries went down early against the seventh-ranked team in the country on Saturday afternoon and the hole proved too steep to climb out from. Pacific led 6-2 after the first quarter and 11-4 at the half, and allowed just three Buff & Blue goals in the second half on their way to the 22-7 win.

Yam Kabakov, Adonis Vlassis and Andrija Sekulic paced GW’s offense with two goals apiece.

The Revs came out strong against Harvard but could not keep pace as the Crimson downed GW in the late game.

The Revolutionaries kept up with Harvard for much of the first half and were tied at five-all midway through the second quarter, but an 8-0 run for Harvard that stretched into the third quarter wound up being the difference.

Sekulic, Vlassis, Joseph McCreary and Andrei Khudiakov each had two goals for the Revolutionaries.
