MALIBU, Calif. — No. 18-ranked Brown University dropped a 20-5 decision to No. 9 Pepperdine University to close out a weekend trip in California. Five different Bears scored in the game against the Waves.
Cole Atwell scored for the Bears in the first quarter but Brown lost the first eight minutes 7-1. In an early hole, Brown got goals from Daniel Hadar and Maxwell Patterson in the second quarter, but the Bears trailed by six scores (9-3) entering halftime.
Pepperdine won the third quarter 8-2 to extend its lead to 17-5, while Brown received scoring from Filip Aleksic and Gabe Chang. The Waves tacked on three additional markers in the fourth quarter for the 20-5 final.
