BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Katharine Kuyper (Sr., Waimea, Hawaii/Hawaii Preparatory School) and Kenza Ashworth (So., Palo Alto, Calif./Henry M. Gunn) of No. 17-ranked Northeastern University combined for 14 goals, nine steals and 41 saves for the Huskies during the final regular season Women’s Collegiate Club New England Division tournament.  For their individual performances, Kuyper and Ashworth share the division’s March 31 Player of the Week award.

Kuyper helped key the Huskies’ defense with five steals and 41 saves, while Ashworth struck for 14 goals and four steals.

Competing at Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H., the duo of Kuyper and Ashworth helped Northeastern top the host Big Green (14-9 W), the University of Massachusetts (18-9 W), Boston University (13-7 W) and Boston College (17-8 W) to wrap-up an 8-0 regular season and claim the No. 1 seed for the upcoming New England Division Championship on Saturday-Sunday, April 5-6, at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

The victor of the division championship tournament earns a bid to the 2025 Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship hosted by Colby College in Waterville, Maine, on Friday-Sunday, April 11-13.
