BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Olivia Dey (Sr., Oshawa, Ontario, Canada/Newtonbrook Secondary School) of the Bucknell University women’s water polo team was recently recognized as a co-recipient of the 2024 ‘Ray Bucknell Diversity Award.

The award is, “Presented to the senior student-athlete who through his/her actions has worked to eliminate attitudes and actions that have separated, excluded or marginalized people in the past and has facilitated true understanding and recognition among multiple campus and Lewisburg community constituencies.”  She is a co-recipient of the honor with Caroline McGann of the institution’s swimming and diving team.

Dey is the founder of Just Like a Girl, a non-profit organization to help young girls from marginalized communities understand the importance and benefits of sports.  More information on Just Like a Girl is available by CLICKING HERE.
