CLAREMONT, Calif. -– The Penn State Behrend women’s water polo team fell to Concordia University-Irvine, 17-2, and Division III No. 6-ranked the University of Redlands, 14-1, at the University of La Verne’s Las Flores Park pool and Pomona-Pitzer College’s Haldeman Pool, respectively, on the final day of the 2019 Convergence Convergence.

Facing Concordia, junior Allison McClure (Loveland, Ohio/Milford) led the team with three steals and two drawn kickouts.  Lauren Wood (Vernon Hills, Ill./Vernon Hills) bucketed two goals, while Daniella Rios (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico/Sagrados Corazones) and Barbie Cessar (Slippery Rock, Pa./Slippery Rock) both tallied a steal and an assist.

Against Redlands, Wood scored the Lions’ lone goal and tacked on a pair of steals. Goalie Mackensie Robie (Girard, Pa./Girard) posted six saves.
