BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Princeton University alumna Ashley Hatcher shot one-for-three with a pairs of steals as Argentina suffered a 23-6 setback at the hands of tournament host Hungary at the Alfred Hajos National Swimming Stadium in a crossover game at the 2022/19th Annual FINA World Championships hosted in Budapest, Hungary.
Argentina, which concluded Group B competition earlier this week with a 29-6 loss to the Netherlands, a 7-6 dispatching of the Republic of South Africa and a 23-3 setback against the United States, will return to the pool on Tuesday, September 28, against New Zealand in a 9th/12th classification game. The victor of the game advances to face the winner of a 9th/12th place game between Canada and Kazakhstan on Thursday, June 30, for Ninth Place, while the loser faces the fallen from the Canada-Kazakhstan contest for 11th place.
A 2015 graduate of Princeton, Hatcher has converted on two-of-nine shots at the championship with seven steals, a rebound and a field block.
