BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — As a reminder to the men’s and women’s varsity programs in the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA), Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC), Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) and other non-CWPA affiliated varsity programs, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) requires schools to receive permission for the use of protective equipment directly from the Secretary of Rules Editor prior to the gear being used in a game.
Teams must receive written confirmation of approval that should be made available to the officials prior to the start of every game. The request should be submitted by the head coach or your school trainer and can be an emailed to the current Secretary/Rules Editor and Penn State Behrend Director of Athletics Brian Streeter.
Please be sure to include the student-athlete’s name and cap number, an explanation of the equipment and a photo of the equipment when submitting a request electronically.
