BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Ani Aghakhanian (Sr., La Crescenta, Calif./La Valley College) racked up 11 goals and three steals with 10 exclusion drawn during a 3-1 weekend for Saint Francis University at the Bison Invitational hosted by Bucknell University. For her performance, Aghakhanian earns notice as the February 11 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Division I Player of the Week.
She opened the weekend with a goal versus No. 18-ranked Wagner College (21-3 L) prior to posting four markers in a 9-7 victory over La Salle University on Saturday, February 9. On Sunday, February 10, she added four goals in an 8-6 defeat of Gannon University prior to tacking on another pair in a 12-10 win versus Salem University.
