BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Freshman Nikola Nikolic (Nis, Serbia/First Nis Grammar School Stevan Sremac) of St. Francis College Brooklyn recorded six points (four goals, two assists) during a 2-2 week for the Terriers in Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) action. For his performance, the first-year claims status as the November 4 NWPC Rookie of the Week.
A first-time weekly honor recipient from the league office, Nikolic scored once in a 16-10 victory at home versus Iona College on Wednesday, October 30, to open the week. On the road, he netted another solo marker in a 14-7 loss at No. 9-ranked Harvard University and a single strike in a 12-11 overtime defeat of Division III No. 6 the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) on Saturday, November 2, in Cambridge, Mass.
Facing host/No. 18 Brown University on Sunday, November 3, he scored again as St. Francis Brooklyn suffered an 11-10 setback.
