BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — University of Michigan rising sophomore Matilda Waugh (Sydney, Australia/Kincoppl Rose Bay) was named an alternate on the Water Polo Australia roster for the 2025 World Aquatics U20 Water Polo Championships. The championship will take place on August 10-16 in Salvador, Brazil.
The Water Polo Australia roster was selected following a camp at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.
Waugh accounted for 26 goals, 13 assists, 12 drawn exclusions, 24 steals, 15 field blocks during a Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) All-Conference Honorable Mention season as a freshman during the 2025 season. She helped the Wolverines post a 19-11 record during the 2025 season as the team claimed Third Place at the CWPA Championship hosted by Brown University.
