BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Goalie Shelby Smith (Fr., San Diego, Calif.) made 38 saves with nine steals and two assists during a 2-1 weekend against collegiate club competition for the University of Washington at the 2019 University of California-Davis Invitational to garner accolades as the January 28 Women’s Collegiate Club Northwest Division Player of the Week.
She posted 10 saves in a 10-2 loss to the host Aggies “A” team prior to notching nine saves with an assist and two steals in a 7-5 defeat of the University of California-Santa Barbara. She tacked on 11 saves with an assist and three steals in an 11-8 victory over Fresno State University prior to tallying eight saves and four steals in a 16-3 loss to the Los Altos Peacocks.
