BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — Goalkeeper Jasmine Thek (Jr., Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) of West Chester University helped the Rams to a 3-0 record at the 2024 Women’s Collegiate Club Mid-Atlantic Division Championship hosted by the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pa.  For her performance, Thek is lauded with the division’s April 15 Player of the Week award.

West Chester topped Carnegie Mellon University (12-0 W) and the University of Pennsylvania (9-5 W) in the opening and semifinal rounds prior to relying on Thek to take a 2-1 victory over Pennsylvania State University “A” in the division title game.  In the semifinal versus Penn, she turned aside six shots as West Chester picked up a four-goal victory.  Facing Penn State for the division crown and an automatic berth to the 2024 Women’s National Collegiate Club Championship at Texas A&M University on Friday-Sunday, May 3-5, she was electric in stopping 14 shots – including five in the fourth quarter and nine in the second half – to help the Rams top the Nittany Lions.
