BRIDGEPORT, Pa. — 12 members of the Gannon University men’s water polo team are among 362 Golden Knights’ student-athletes to earn 2021-22 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Scholar-Athlete honors.

A student-athlete must maintain a 3.25 cumulative GPA or better to be named a scholar-athlete.  A total of 4,144 scholar-athletes from the PSAC’s 18 Division II institutions (Bloomsburg University, California University, Clarion University, East Strousburg University, Edinboro University, Gannon, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Kutztown University, Lock Haven University, Mansfield University, Millersville University, University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown, Seton Hill University, Shepherd University, Shippensburg University, Slippery Rock University, West Chester University) were named to the Scholar-Athlete list.

Gannon’s men’s water polo athletes honored are:

  • Thomas Koelling (St. Louis, Mo.)
  • Alvaro Marco (Madrid, Spain/IES Ortega y Gasset)
  • Drago Marjanovic (Belgrade, Serbia/North Allegheny (Pa.))
  • Vlad Mickic (Subotica, Serbia /Nikola Tesla)
  • Tony Squeglia (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep)
  • Garrett Takei (Fremont, Calif./Irvington)
  • John Vieira (Erie, Pa/Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy (McDowell))
